Wyoming
Currently Ineligible

Before Wyoming can join the Interstate Massage Compact (IMpact), it must first have statewide licensure in place. Licensure protects the public, strengthens professional standards, and ensures all practitioners meet consistent education and training requirements. It also sets the foundation for future compact participation — opening the door to multistate practice, greater mobility, and expanded career opportunities. Even if your state is not yet eligible, your voice can help build that pathway. By contacting your legislators, you can help advance two priorities that matter to the profession:

  1. Establishing state licensure, which increases public safety, combats illicit activity, and supports legitimate practitioners.
  2. Positioning the state to join the IMpact, which will give massage therapists the ability to practice across participating states with one multistate license — benefiting therapists, employers, military families, and the clients we served.

Legislators need to hear directly from the massage therapy community to understand the importance of both licensure and future compact participation.
